Ken is a Vice President of BASE Consultants with 25+ years of design, project management and construction administration experience in the areas of transportation and building structures. Ken is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Texas and Virginia. He co-leads the Transportation Structures Division of BASE.
His experience includes analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, and timber structures. His project portfolio features steel, prestressed concrete and post-tensioned concrete bridges; toll facilities; retaining wall systems; miscellaneous highway structures; airports; stadiums; convention centers; fire stations; parking garages and entertainment; educational; commercial; recreational and healthcare facilities.
Ken’s major bridge design projects include Wekiva Parkway Systems Interchange Ramp “K” Flyover with curved and haunched post tensioned concrete U-Beams; I-95 Over Kings Highway Design-Build bridge replacement; Tropicana Boulevard Bridge over Golden Gate Main Canal Design-Build; SR-5 Over Sebastian River bridge replacement and SR-436 Northbound over SR-528 bridge replacement with a two-span continuous steel box girder bridge.
Ken’s major building projects were with notable clients including CityWalk at Universal Orlando, Orange County Convention Center Phase V, and Orlando International Airport Airside 2 Terminal, University of Central Florida Recreation Center, The Walt Disney Emergency Service Building, Marco Island Condominium, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, and the Choice Point Post Tension Parking Garage.
Ken achieved a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Structures and Foundations from UCF.
