Wendy Bonnett, P.E.
Vice President
Wendy is Co-Founder and Vice President of BASE Consultants. With 23+ years of design experience she applies learned skills to all projects regardless of the size and complexity. She manages various phases of project development including structural analysis, design coordination, and construction administration.
She has vast experience in major steel and concrete structures with a true passion for detailing complex geometry. Experience includes airports, fire stations, K-12 schools, theme parks, and municipal projects. Wendy has managed BASE’s involvement in many multi-firm project collaborations. She creates important teaming relationships with other structural engineering firms on large projects and embraces large, complicated scopes of work. A successful example was the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts where she served as project manager for the Front of House structure and 90ft cantilevered steel canopy.
Wendy has extensive experience with additions and renovations to existing and occupied structures specifically airports, universities, and healthcare. She also performs many of the firm’s peer review projects and quality control checks.
Wendy achieved her Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and a Master of Engineering Structures from the University of Florida. She is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida and New Jersey.
