Ram Kozhikote, P.E.
Vice President
Ram is a Vice President of BASE Consultants with 35+ years of engineering experience in the fields of highway and transit structures. He leads the Transportation Structures Division. Ram is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Texas and Virginia.
His experience includes structural concept studies; bridge development reports; analysis, design, and detailing of steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete structures; segmental bridge design; design of miscellaneous structures, repair and rehabilitation of existing structures; and value engineering studies.
Prior to joining BASE in 2016, Ram worked for a large engineering and project management company as Manager of Structures for Central and South Florida. In that role he served as the Structures Lead for several large interchange and corridor projects, as well as bridge replacement and widening projects. Ram also served as a Structures Reviewer for several general engineering consultant (GEC) contracts including Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) and Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) and supported other GEC contracts in different Districts.
Ram’s major design projects include Wekiva Parkway Systems Interchange; SR-5 Over Sebastian River bridge replacement; I-10/I-110 Interchange in Escambia County, Florida; I-10 Widenings through Leon County; SR-50/US-27 Interchange bridge replacement and Destination Parkway bridge over Shingle Creek.
Ram achieved a Bachelor of Technology from Cochin University for Science and Technology (formerly Cochin University) and a Master of Science in Engineering from Florida Atlantic University (FAU).
