This design/build project involved replacing fourteen passenger elevators and three service elevators at the Orlando International Airport. Air conditioning was added to the machine rooms, and the existing machine room fan openings were infilled and new openings were cut for A/C units.

Part of the project criteria involved the assessment of existing elevator shaft conditions and the divider beam, rail and counterweight connections to the wall. Site investigation was performed examining every landing of every shaft from the vantage point of the top of the cabs. Recommendations were made based upon the findings. Daily operations of the elevators were maintained during the site investigation.
