OIA Terminal C Complex

The South Terminal Complex at the Orlando International Airport was the precursor project to the new South Terminal. The complex includes a new automated people mover (APM) station, intermodal transportation facility, passenger drop off lobby (PDL) building, and a new parking garage. BASE Consultants was an MWBE partner on this project with our scope including designing the PDL building, central energy plant (CEP), and the architecturally exposed drop off canopy structures. The PDL facility includes long span structures, a multi-story curtainwall system, and a complex cast-in-place exterior stair. The CEP building features insulated sandwich tilt-up concrete panels and extensive mechanical routing and two standalone cooling towers.
